1. What are cookies and similar technologies?

While traditionally referring to small text files in web browsers, the term 'cookie' in this policy and under applicable regulations refers more broadly to any tracking technology that stores or accesses information on your device when you visit our website. This includes traditional cookies, web beacons, pixels, and similar technologies that can operate on any internet-connected device.

The term ‘cookies’ therefore includes the following trackers in particular:

- HTTP cookies

- Flash cookies

- The result of the calculation of a unique fingerprint of the terminal in the case of ‘fingerprinting’ (calculation of a unique identifier of the terminal based on elements of its configuration for tracking purposes)

- Invisible pixels or ‘web bugs’

- Any other identifier generated by software or an operating system (serial number, MAC address, unique terminal identifier (UTI), or any set of data used to calculate a unique fingerprint of the terminal (for example via a ‘fingerprinting’ method)

- SDKs (Software Development Kits) used for tracking or analytics

In general, cookies enable us to track your browsing habits, i.e., the different websites and mobile applications you visit and how you interact with them. These cookies also allow us to know which advertisements are shown to you and whether you consult them or make a subsequent purchase.

Data stored by cookies include the pages viewed, the type of browser used, your IP address, some identifiers, and sometimes the information you entered on a website.
